A Garden Wedding in Scenic Tasmania
Kirstie Wright & Josh Hobden, the loved-up AFL fans
Known for its Devils, arctic chilly snaps, and breathtaking scenery – Tasmania provides the most romantic destinations for a memorable November wedding.
Getting to Know the Bride & Groom to be
When Kirstie Wright found us online there was an instant connection. Her warm, bubbly and friendly personality made our Skype communications easy and effortless. Having good communication to meet all expectations on the wedding day is especially important for a wedding photographer, particularly when it is a destination wedding.
Finally, five days before the main event we met in person and it was easy to see why this AFL loving couple were ready to commit to each other for the rest of their lives. Josh’s equally friendly and hilarious character complimented his bride to be, and there was so much excitement for the upcoming day.
The Big Day Arrives
The wedding day arrived and although it started out a little cloudy and chilly (for a Queenslander), it was otherwise perfect for a garden ceremony at Stonefield, Brighton.
Draped in an elegant gown, arm in arm with her father beaming with pride, Kirstie was gracefully led down the aisle towards her husband to be.
There is something incredibly special when you see a Groom with tears in his eyes as his bride walks towards him, this is enough to melt anyone’s heart. It was the perfect moment, and such a privilege to be a part of.
Introducing Mr & Mrs…
After the announcement of the new husband and wife, ‘Mr & Mrs Hobden’, the bridal party disappeared into the Stonefield grounds to relax, pose, and allow Kat Cherry Photography capture moments that will become memories to share and display for years to come.
Time passed quickly and eventually it was time to join the guests for dinner and celebrations. Being able to wander around, catching natural and authentic moments is an incredible honour and what makes us love our job so much.
Thank you to Josh and Kirstie Hobden for including us in your special day, may you both have a long and wonderful marriage.
If you are considering a destination wedding, and would like someone that you can trust to create cherished memories, find out how we can help. It is most likely to be cheaper than you think.
